MyHubPrivacy Policy
Effective October 30, 2026
Who we are
MyHub (myhubhome.app and the MyHub iPhone app) is a private, invitation-only home base for you and your household. It is operated by the developer of MyHub, an individual based in Maine, USA. Questions or requests about your privacy: support@myhubhome.app.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email address, display name, initials and optional profile photo. Your password and any passkeys are held by our sign-in provider; MyHub never stores your password, and your fingerprint, face or device PIN never leaves your device.
- What you put in MyHub’s Spaces, for example School courses and assignments, tasks and attachments, Pantry items and shopping lists, Wallet bills, income, balances and spending, Track entries, Echo moments, the Stabilize resources you save or recently opened, and your settings.
- Household information: the households you belong to and your role. Household members see that household’s members, Pantry, shopping list, activity and household task lists. Your Wallet, School, Track, Echo, Stabilize and private tasks stay private to you.
- Echo, your journal: the moments you write and any photos and voice recordings you add. Echo is private to you: household members can’t see it, support access doesn’t include it, and nothing in it is sent to an AI or transcription service. Photos are resized on your device before upload and their location data is removed; only the date they were taken is kept. Echo holds up to 300 MB per person.
- Reports you send: what you write to support or about a Stabilize resource, the replies, and basic app details (which Space, app version, device type and time) to help fix problems.
- Pantry photos you offer (only if you choose to): if the owner accepts a product photo you offer, everyone using MyHub can see it on that product, credited “Photo from a MyHub member” (never your name). It stays in the catalog even if you delete your account.
- Notifications and statistics: a delivery address for your device if you turn on notifications (in the iPhone app, the device token Apple gives it, removed when you sign out of the app or remove that phone), and anonymous usage statistics only if you allow them.
Wallet is for planning only. MyHub doesn’t connect to bank accounts or move money.
Signing in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your basic profile with MyHub: your name, email address and profile picture. MyHub uses your email address only to sign you in to your existing, invited MyHub account. MyHub does not access your Gmail, contacts, files, calendar or any other Google data, does not use Google data for advertising, and does not sell or share it. You can disconnect Google in MyHub’s Account & Settings, and remove MyHub’s access at any time in your Google Account settings.
MyHub’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Signing in with Apple
If you choose “Sign in with Apple”, Apple confirms your Apple ID to MyHub and shares an email address for it: your own, or a private relay address if you chose Hide My Email. MyHub uses this only to sign you in to your existing, invited MyHub account; it never creates an account. MyHub receives nothing else from your Apple ID and doesn’t use Apple data for advertising or sell or share it. MyHub’s server keeps one encrypted sign-in token from Apple only so it can tell Apple to end MyHub’s access when you delete your account or disconnect Apple; then it’s removed. You can disconnect Apple in MyHub’s Account & Settings, and stop using Apple with MyHub at any time in your Apple ID settings.
How we use your information
- To run MyHub: show your Spaces, sync across your devices and share household data with your household.
- To send the notifications you turn on and essential account emails.
- To help when you ask for support.
- To keep MyHub secure and working, and, only if you allow it, to understand usage through anonymous statistics.
We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it except with the service providers below, as needed to run MyHub, or where the law requires it.
Service providers
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (United States).
- Vercel: website hosting and, with your permission, anonymous statistics.
- Resend: MyHub emails.
- Google: only if you sign in with Google.
- Apple: only if you use Sign in with Apple.
- Your browser’s or device’s push service (for example Apple or Google): delivering notifications you turn on.
- Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central: product details and nutrition for Pantry lookups. Only the barcode or product name is sent.
Support access
If you need help, the MyHub owner can open your account in a support mode after verifying their identity again. It’s time-limited, starts read-only, changes need a separate step, and it never includes Echo. Each visit, the areas viewed and any changes are recorded in a private log that protects your account; you can ask for your part of it at any time. When the owner works directly on the database to maintain MyHub and it involves your account, that’s noted in the same log as maintenance.
The owner may block or delete an account, for example when you ask, for misuse, or after long inactivity. You’ll usually get an email.
Cookies and similar storage
Essential cookies keep you signed in and are always on. Storage on your device remembers your choices, like theme and Space order. Anonymous usage statistics (Vercel) stay off unless you accept them, and they use no cookies or advertising identifiers. MyHub uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can change your choice at any time:
How long we keep information
- Your account and data: until you delete them or your account.
- Short-lived items (notifications, recently opened resources, attachments on finished tasks): removed after 14 to 30 days.
- Reports: until you delete your account. Stabilize resource reports are deleted 90 days after review.
- Support access records: 12 months.
When an account is deleted, its private data is deleted. Household data stays with the household’s remaining members.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your information, change notification and analytics choices, and delete your account in Account & Settings. You can also email support@myhubhome.app for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion.
Security
MyHub uses encrypted connections, private storage and per-account access rules. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.
Children
MyHub is intended for people aged 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email support@myhubhome.app and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date. For significant changes we may also let you know in MyHub.
